Michael Yani, Marsel Ilhan, Thomas Bellucci, Josselin Ouanna, Michael Berrer and Marco Chiudinelli all made it through qualifying to reach the Mens Singles main draw. Josselin Ouanna and Marco Chiudinelli achieved career milestones as Ouanna reached the second round and Chiudinelli the third round of the US Open Mens Singles for the first time in their career

Using her [K]Blade 98, Flavia Pennetta  defeated #7 seed Zvonareva in a thrilling  3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-0 battle as she reached the quarterfinals of the US Open Womens Singles for the second consecutive year

   

Petra Kvitova used her [K]Tour to defeat WTA Tour World #1  Safina 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (5) and reach the 4th round of the US Open for the 1st time in her career
