Mike Small

Mike Small competed at the University of Illinois, where he finished second at the 1988 Big Ten Championship behind then teammate Steve Stricker. Small turned professional in 1990 and competed on mini-tours ross the country before earning his PGA Tour card in 1995 and then again in 1998. Recognizing his influence on the golf scen both in Illinois and on the PGA Tour, Wilson Golf signed Small to its roster of Advisory members in 2011.

Small took over head coaching responsibilities at the University of Illinois in 2001 and has brought national recognition to the Illini golf program. He just recently guided his team to become the runners-up at the 2013 NCAA National Championships.

Also in 2013, he competed in the PGA Championship in Rochester and claimed his tenth Illinois PGA Championship with new FG Tour prototype irons.

On October 25, Small will be inducted into the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame
