WTEAM Badminton Player, Shannon Pohl, is Nominated for USOC Developmental Coach of the Year Award.

Wilson is thrilled to announce that long time WTEAM badminton player, Shannon Pohl, has been nominated for the USOC Developmental Coach of the Year award. The United States Olympic Committee annually presents this prestigious award to top coaches in Olympic and Paralympic sports. One award is given in five categories including: National Coach, Developmental Coach, Paralympic Coach, Volunteer Coach and the Doc Councilman Science Award. Wilson is exceptionally excited for Shannon, as this is the first time in history that a badminton coach has been a finalist.

"This is a great honor that wouldn't have been possible without the hard work and scarifies of so many people", says Shannon Pohl. "I'm so thankful to have been nominated and am beyond grateful to be a positive influence on so many young athletes."

"Shannon has rapidly excelled at this game", says Terri Graham, Business Director for Wilson. "To have her focusing her skills on coaching will really pay off for US badminton players. We couldn't be more proud to have Shannon as part of our Wilson Team."

It's through strong partnerships with top athletes, like Shannon, that Wilson continually develops the most superior sports equipment in the world. We are beyond proud of Shannon's accomplishments and are thrilled to see what incredible achievements will come from her in the future.
