Industrial Designer (Golf)
Location: Chicago USA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
- Communicate new product concepts within the company and to Asia based manufacturers by:
o Creating new product concepts in 2D form through renderings or sketches
o Developing 3D models of new concepts using Unigraphics/NX (preferred) or Pro-E
o Conceptualizing, designing, and building prototypes
o Developing secondary aesthetic aspects of the design including graphics, colors and logos - Produce product assemblies and detail drawings to procure engineering tech packs
- Research, analyze and monitor competitive products, industry trends and external consumer product trends to capitalize on market opportunities
Education/Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree, Industrial Design preferred
- 2+ years experience in consumer goods product development preferred
- Experience integrating consumer insights into the development of strategic product innovations
- Golf or sporting goods experience strongly preferred

- Exceptional 2D skills: hand and computer sketching
- Highly proficient with 3D CAD software including advanced surfacing techniques (Unigraphics/NX experience preferred; Pro-E experience acceptable)
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Well organized, self motivated with the ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Passion for the game of golf preferred
