Senior HR Generalist

Location: Chicago USA

The Senior HR Generalist will be a key member of the Wilson Corporate HR team with two primary roles:  (1)  Provide a full range of generalist support to customers, and (2) become the Talent Acquisition Process Leader for Wilson's global business.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


As a Generalist serving the HQ location, responsibilities include:

  • Act with autonomy to support your clients and provide the full scope of HR services to positively impact the business and become a respected business partner
  • Provide coaching and guidance to management to help them maximize their effectiveness as leaders and enhance their change management skills
  • Provide a variety of training to management and team members
  • Communicate with management and team members to clarify policies and processes, answer general questions and create solutions.  Assure timely resolution of employee relations issues or conflicts.

As Talent Acquisition Process Leader and Recruiter, the responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies
  • Update recruiting processes and approaches to streamline, eliminate waste, and automate
  • Implement creative candidate sourcing techniques and capitalize on the use of social media, internet recruiting, alumni associations and campus recruiting
  • Establish relationships with hiring managers and build credibility by helping them define or refine their needs while considering current talent gaps and future needs


Education/Experience


  • 7+ years of strong HR Generalist experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years recruiting for top talent in leadership, professional and hourly positions
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; an advanced degree is preferred (equivalent work experience in lieu of degree will be considered, but a formal degree is highly preferred)
  • Change management skills and continuous improvement orientation
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills
  • Current with understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Able to travel (10-15% per year)
  • PHR certificate and ADP/HRB experience is a plus
