Frank Spaziani is beginning his fourth year as head coach of Boston College football and his 16th season overall on the BC football staff. Spaziani is well known as one of the best defensive minds in college football. Before becoming the head coach at Boston College, Spaziani spent 12 years on their coaching staff, including 10 as defensive coordinator. Following years of defensive success under his direction, Boston College named him head coach in January 2009. He has compiled a 20-19 record and 3 bowl game appearances. Prior to his college coaching career, Spaziani was a head coach in the Canadian Football Leauge for 5 seasons. He led the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to two Grey Cups (1992, 1993) and the Calgary Stampeders to another (1995).
