Wilson Team Players are Inducted Into the Racquetball Hall of Fame
Wilson Sporting Goods Co. takes exceptional pride in working with some of the most extraordinary racquetball players in the world. Today, we are thrilled to announce that long time Wilson Team Players, William "Mitt" Layton and Debbie Tisinger-Moore were inducted into the Racquetball Hall Of Fame at a National Singles Championship in Fullerton, California.
"We are so proud of both Mitt and Debbie", says Terri Graham, U.S. Business Director for Wilson Sporting Goods. "They have shown such loyalty and dedication to both the sport of racquetball and the Wilson brand. Mitt will go down as one of the fittest racquetball players ever. And we will never see another player more dedicated than Debbie to competing in her age division. If Wilson had a Hall of Fame these two remarkable players would be at the top of the list of inductees."
William "Mitt" Layton had one of the best decade-long age group division runs in racquetball history. From 1995- 2004, he won 6 National Singles and 13 US Open singles titles in the Men's 45+ and 50+ Open divisions. For the first seven years of US Open history, Mitt was the only winner of the Men's 45+ division. For 19 years William "Mitt" Layton has dominated the game with a Wilson racquet.
Debbie Tisinger- Moore has garnered an astonishing 92 gold medals in both singles and doubles age group divisions at national competitions. Debbie has been awarded the Peggy Steding Age Group Athlete of the Year Award four separate times. For the past 19 years, Debbie has chosen to take the racquetball world by storm with a Wilson racquet in hand.
Wilson congratulates both Mitt and Debbie on their incredible accomplishments. We greatly value our 19-year partnership with these phenomenal athletes, and we look forward to continually working with them as they persistently thrive in the great sport of racquetball.
