Training Basketballs & Equipment
It's time to take your game up another notch and elevate every aspect of your craft. Basketball training gear from Wilson can help you reach that next level if you're willing to put in the work. Mastering your jump shot isn't as simple as an acquired skill, it's a lifetime of honing and refining every aspect of it, keeping sharp with lots of repetition and an insatiable thirst for buckets — even when no one is looking.
Want to work on getting more buckets? An oversized basketball will make your margin of error that much slimmer, forcing you to get sharper, more accurate and get your angles right if you're shooting off the glass. Work on your arc, release and follow-through, and after sticking with it for a while, you'll start to see the results from that effort. Is your shot coming out a little bit flat? Barely reaching the hoop or constantly clanking off the back rim? It's time to use Wilson training basketballs to fix that issue. Our rotation tracker basketball delivers immediate shot rotation feedback while you and your coach see the white color blocks spinning as the ball leaves your hand. You can get them with the official NBA logo on a size 7 or the official WNBA logo on a size 6. Both have a microfiber composite cover that feels true to the touch, so it will feel intuitive when you get a proper release and see those white spots rapidly spinning as the ball leaves your hand.
Wilson offers a lineup of basketball equipment and accessories to help you improve your game. When it comes time to start working on drills, check out the Wilson Blog for training inspo. Including a set of drills created by Chris Brickley that he uses to train the pros, and Hoop Group's compilation of basketball drills that can be done at home.
If you want your handle to get smoother, there's no better recipe than weighted basketballs. Chris Brickley, star personal trainer to some of the NBA's biggest stars, uses this basketball for his clients. A weighted basketball has an unpredictable bounce, and it's not going to bounce back up like you'd expect a standard ball to do. You're going to have retrieve it and try to keep it under control, developing better hand-eye coordination. If you can handle this ball, you can surely handle those heavy traps and those stingy defenders always looking to poke the ball away from you. You can also improve your footwork with a ladder, or get better with your cuts with training cones. If you're looking to get the bucket and the foul, a training blocking pad is your best friend to teach you how to absorb contact and finish through it. Check out our basketball training gear, and get better with every practice.
