Wilson Welcomes WNBA's Kahleah Copper to Basketball Family

The 3-time WNBA All-Star is one of the newest Wilson Athletes.

We are thrilled to welcome none other than Chicago Sky Guard, Kahleah Copper to our Wilson Basketball Family. The 3-time WNBA All-Star led the Sky in scoring in 2022 and celebrated 2,000 career points against New York in July. Copper is a Philly native and a Rutgers alum and was the seventh overall draft pick in 2016.

Known as a leader on and off the court, Kah is making her mark at Wilson. As a member of the Basketball Family, she will join other masters of the game in playtesting products, providing feedback, and collaborating on the next generation of basketball gear.

Wilson: What does the expression “Bonded by Ball” mean to you?

KC: To me it symbolizes how this amazing ball can take you places and introduce you to people from all walks of life. It has the power to unite and bring us all closer together.

Wilson: When was your first “I made it” moment?

KC: My first All-Star game.

Wilson: How can people embody Wilson’s motto “live like an athlete?”

KC: By taking advantage of every opportunity presented and viewing every challenge not as a roadblock, but as a steppingstone.

Wilson: How did it feel to achieve 2,000 career points in the WNBA against New York?

KC: I always take these opportunities to reflect on those who came before me and helped pave the way for me to be in this league competing with the greatest players in the world.

Wilson: What is your go-to hype song to get you ready for a game or practice?

KC: Dreams and Nightmares

Wilson: What is your game day routine?

KC: Shootaround, breakfast, nap (very important), and then go to the game.

Wilson: If you could go back in time, what advice would you tell your younger self?

KC: Get in the gym and be confident.

Wilson: What advice do you have for athletes hoping to reach this level?

KC: Continue to put the work in, always be humble, and surround yourself with the right people.

Wilson: What would your pet say if they could talk?

KC: He would say, “I love you, Momma. Thank you for this life.”

Wilson: Favorite concert?

KC: Beyonce
