Jim Hackett is President and GM of Wilson Baseball and a 29-year veteran of Wilson Sporting Goods, having started as a Sales Intern in 1994. He was promoted to Product Line Manager and then Baseball General Manager in 1997. During his tenure, Hackett has transformed Wilson’s Baseball business into an industry leader through strategic acquisitions of Louisville Slugger, DeMarini, ATEC, and EvoShield. Additionally, he created the “Team Shop” concept which allowed for direct selling to baseball and softball players, their clubs, and families.

Before joining Wilson Sporting Goods, Hackett worked for Nike as a Sales Training Manager and Retail Store Manager. He earned his master's degree in finance and marketing from Northwestern University Kellogg School and his BA from Middlebury College. During his time at Middlebury College, he was a dual-sports captain for the football and baseball teams. Today, Hackett likes to play pickleball, golf and basketball.
