  • WHEN YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH THE GAME:
I was 12 years old and was the ball boy for my brother’s (NFL quarterback Carson Palmer) varsity football. I had played a few years prior but it was this particular season when I fell in love.
  • MOST FOND MEMORY WITH WILSON IN HAND:
In high school I played with a Wilson 1001. I loved it. We went to the state championship and a different brand was sponsoring the game, but my coach ended up sanding off the Wilson logo so we could use it. We won the game.
  • YOUR HARDEST BATTLE:
I always battled the shadow of my brother. He never put any pressure on me, but it was ever present and palpable. It started in middle school, and I felt it through my entire career.
  • FAVORITE TIP TO GIVE YOUNG PLAYERS:
Fall in love with getting better. The game is fun, but the work is not necessarily fun. When kids fall in love with getting better, their ceilings rise.
  • FINISH THIS SENTENCE: NEXT FALL I AM GOING TO:
Watch several of the kids I work with achieve their goals.
  • YOUR FOOTBALL HERO/MENTOR:
My brother, Carson Palmer. He always treated everyone with respect and left it all on the field.
  • WHY YOU PLAY WILSON:
It’s the best. And I’ve thrown the rest.
