Wilson NYC Pop-Up Debuts "Hall of Game" Exhibit

Sports fans and players of all kinds showed up to Wilson’s second brick-and-mortar store and museum on Broadway in New York City in early October to experience the Grand Opening of the latest exhibit, the "Hall of Game." The Grand Opening celebration included a DJ-hosted NBA2K tournament with a grand prize of $550 and a Q&A session with NBA trainer Chris Brickley. Visitors also enjoyed stadium fare like popcorn and hot dogs and enjoyed a walk through over a century of sports history through the lens of archival images and catalogs.

Wilson designed the store’s first floor to cater to all athletes, with every type of our sports equipment and apparel available and on display. On-site, tennis lovers could enjoy racket customization and stringing, and clothing shoppers could personalize their apparel choices with a line of custom embroidery. For anyone looking to play sports in Manhattan, the store offers wall maps of available basketball, baseball, football, tennis, golf, and volleyball courts, fields and courses.

The Sky Box Lounge on the second floor anchored the Grand Opening activities. Attendees enjoyed comfortable sofas and chairs, a large-screen TV, and plenty of room to show off their drill skills to Chris Brickley, who looked on from the low stage in front. He offered tips, answered questions, signed basketballs, and announced the equipment and apparel giveaways that occurred every 30 minutes.

This store is steeped in the history of Wilson Sporting goods, displaying a century of old advertisements on its walls, vintage baseball gloves encased in glass, and the new official NBA and WNBA basketballs. The opening day offered a taste of the immersive experience shoppers and visitors will have every visit.
