It’s been two long years since baseball’s best pros gathered for a mid-season celebration, and this year #TeamWilson will be well represented when the league’s stars get together in Colorado from July 9-13, 2021. A total of 21 Wilson Advisory Staff members will represent their respective leagues in Denver, including an exciting blend of breakout players and seasoned veterans.

On the American side, Vladamir Guerrero Jr. makes his first ever mid-summer appearance after putting up MVP caliber numbers through the first half of the season. In turn, he became the youngest player ever to lead fan voting heading into the game. His dad, long time Wilson Advisory Staff member Vladimir Guerrero, reminiscedon just how full circle the moment was.

"When you were a little kid you used to go with me to the all star game," Guerrero tweeted. "Today you become the youngest player ever to lead... in all star voting. I’m a proud dad!"

Toronto First Baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. appears with his A2000 1617.

Vladdy adjusted well to first base this season, trusting an A2000® 1617 first base mitt to help him handle the demands of the position. Guerrero Jr. is joined in the starting lineup by Toronto teammate Teoscar Hernández, who has paired a breakout season at the plate with versatile play in the field. Hernandez has split time between the corner outfield spots with his A2000 Y, the 12.75” outfield pattern with a unique Y Web. Boston third baseman Rafael Devers, who posted stellar first-half numbers at the hot corner, earned his first mid-summer roster spot to round out the #TeamWilson crew in the American starting lineup.

The American reserves bring back some well-known faces. The dynamic Houston middle infield combo of shortstop Carlos Correa and second baseman Jose Altuve return to the game after anchoring the best fielding team in baseball with their A2000 CC1 GM and A2000 JA27 GM Wilson gloves. JD Martinez, who uses his A2000 1799 when manning the outfield for Boston, rounds out the American reserves.

The American pitching staff features some serious flamethrowers from #TeamWilson. Lance Lynn has been an absolute star in the southside of Chicago, posting a 2.02 ERA with his custom A2000 KP92 to help propel the Central leaders. Boston teammates Nathan Eovaldi and Matt Barnes have both sported A2K B2’s as they’ve imposed their will upon the eastern division, and the Bronx’s Aroldis Chapman and his A2K CJW continue to put away hitters while lighting up the radar gun.

On the National side, Cincinnati rising star Jesse Winker earned a starting role in left field after a dazzling first half at the plate and many highlight reel catches with his A2000 JH32 outfield glove. Winker joins a loaded roster of #TeamWilson staff, including fellow outfielders Mookie Betts and his signature A2K MB50 GM, Juan Soto and his A2K JS22 GM and the red hot Kyle Schwarber with his A2K 1799.

The National infield also features plenty of Wilson leather, led by a pair of young second baseman coming into their own as stars. Ozzie Albies and his A2K OA1 GM will represent Atlanta, and Jake Cronenworth and his A2K 1786 joins the squad after a breakout start to the season for an upstart San Diego club. Los Angeles first baseman Max Muncy, who has not yet made an error this season with his custom A2K 1613, will join the team in Denver after leading all first basemen in defensive WAR. Cronenworth’s San Diego teammate Mark Melancon rounds out the #TeamWilson stars after he used his A2000 CJW along the way to a 2.27 ERA and a league best 25 saves. Both the National and American teams are loaded with Wilson Advisory Staff members, so A2K and A2000 ball gloves are sure to be a constant presence in the Mile High City.
