For the second consecutive year @wilsonfootball resumed our coverage of NFL training camp, featuring some of 2023’s most promising teams. We’re taking you behind the scenes with exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage for an inside look at what this season has in store.

You can almost taste the excitement in the air as fans file into the stands and players across the country take the field for the annual ritual that is training camp. For each of the 32 NFL teams and their fans, another season is right around the corner. But right now, there are no records, no stats or sacks, no commentators dropping hot takes. Right now, it’s training camp, and anything can happen.

Highly-touted rookies fresh out of college football warm up alongside long-standing veterans with years of professional play under their belts. Each of these 90+ players are vying for one of just 53 spots on the teams' rosters. And while some stars are a lock to make the team, training camp is a critical showcase for others to make plays and a name for themselves. It's a non-stop, two-week grind filled with strategic planning sessions and grueling physical practices.

“For the players and coaches, you see the competitiveness and the electric plays,” said Derek Spallone, Social Media Associate and Wilson’s boots-on-the-ground at this year’s camps. “Everyone grinding towards one common goal, knowing the work they put in now will hopefully carry over and pay off later. Building those habits!”

Wilson has been a major player in the NFL’s story since the league was established in 1941. “The Duke” NFL football has been a part of every point scored in NFL history and is the only official game ball the league has ever known. For many of these players, taking the field with The Duke is emblematic of having officially “made it” to the most elite stage in football.

Though training camp is both physically and mentally tough, team chemistry is a big focus as well. These two weeks are an opportunity for the players to get to know each other and make sure everything gels before the regular season begins. Peppered amongst the playbook reviews and conditioning sessions are team outings, skits performed by rookies, and lots of laughs.

Training camp is also the first chance for the teams to engage with fans and build relationships leading up to the new season. Unlike regular season practices, training camp sessions are open to the public and each team creates unique moments that make the energy special like the first SKOL chant of the season at the Vikings’ sessions and the “Dream Drive” bike riding tradition at each Packers practice.

The fans also play a part, bringing to camp the same passion of a regular season game while they wait anxioulsy to see how their teams will stack up. Everyone is eager to have something to celebrate, and if the level of excitment across the country is anywere near the pure volume of this year’s SKOL chant, then the NFL is in for an exciting season.
